Sean Shibe: Thoughts on Thematic Programming
Dear viewers,
This week we have a distinguished guest – Sean Shibe. If you haven't yet heard his name, do yourselves a favour and look up some of his music. It's a personal joy to welcome him on tonebase to talk about programming, life as one of the most successful young guitarists out there, and other ideas behind his compelling music-making.
See you there!
Emmanuel
Sean Shibe was the first guitarist to be selected for the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme and to receive the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Young Artists. In 2019, he won a Gramophone Award in the newly-created ‘Concept Album’ category for his critically acclaimed recording softLOUD.
In this livestream, Sean Shibe will be joined in conversation by Emmanuel Sowicz to share his thoughts on Thematic Programming in the contemporary music scene and the path which has led him to become one of the most remarkable guitarists of his generation.
