    Amazing, can't wait for this!

I would love to have a list of really really good pieces of different styles from beginner to advanced that I probably haven't heard before and really want to learn to play.

I'll ask a very general question, not so much to be answered as perhaps discussed: what is '20th c. music'? Is it simply a matter of when a particular piece was written, or when a certain composer happened to live? Or is it a matter of genre and style? Should the music of composers as dissimilar as, say, Ponce, Villa-Lobos, Britten, and Takemitsu all fall under the same broad rubric? Or do we need a more precise terminology?
