    • One thing you found easy: 😂 🤔
    • One thing you found difficult: I find the very similar parts difficult to tell apart

Eric Phillips Hello Eric, I own the complete scores - there are many contemporary pieces that are often played. And on the other side, exactly as with Tarrega, there are smaller, one page pieces, and also "easier" pieces as well.....👍🙂

    • Olli  well, I might join you with that one, Olli. But for the moment I am practicing some pieces for a summer masterclass in France. I will refresh the tremolo pieces later.

Olli Wonderful Olli - great playing. Campanas Del Alba is one on my to do list (or should I say wish list!). I also agree that a Mangore challenge would be a great idea

Olli very well played Olli. Thank you for sharing your interpretation with us. This was my main focus for this challenge but I’ll be working on it for some time to come. I’m learning it from Tariq Harb’s lesson here on Tonebase. I think it’s my favorite Tarrega piece although I’ve not heard them all!

    Dear Martin and fellow challengers,

attached you can find my versions of Sueno and Gran Vals. Maybe I could manage to record a try on Capricho Arabe this week, but as usual .... time runs away and it is very diffucult to catch it ..... 😉

Have fun and see you soon!

    • Thomas that’s so beautiful Thomas. Very musical and wonderful tone. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thomas These are outstanding Thomas! I think you’re the first one to tackle either of these pieces. Sueno is beautiful, and is very difficult to make legato. Gran Vals is so challenging, especially all those barres! My arm is sore just listening to you.  Great work!

    Dear Martin and fellow challengers,

it is already late at night, but the next days will be very busy, so what shalls .... I gave Capricho Arabe - and me - a chance a few days ago. You can find it attached, but please be tolerant, cause it was a first take recording (with some sctratches)😉. I hope you like it anyway 🙏

    • Thomas Another great performance!

    Hi all,

Still on Lagrima, I’ve been working on part 2. It’s much more dynamic, and I feel it’s not fluid enough yet to be really musical. However, I love the dramatic feeling it brings!

    • One thing you found easy: learning the piece. From hearing the piece, I thought this second part would be complicated to learn and this was actually pretty easy. Playing it decently, on the other hand... is hard (for me)!
    • One thing you found difficult: the fluidity, playing with the rhythm but not completely breaking it so the changes keep being smooth.

Didier Lágrima is one of those pieces to which I am and will be always coming back! There's is always a new detail to discover! Recently I try to play it a little more "clean" without too many glissandi!
