A Cuban Approach to Classical Guitar with Susana Frade

When we hear names like Leo Brouwer, Joaquín Clerch, or Marco Tamayo we wonder what is the source? What is the story behind this long list of remarkable Cuban guitarists? You may not have guessed, but the founding figure of the Cuban Classical guitar school was a woman: Clara Nicola. Her son Isaac Nicola, continued her work creating the current Cuban guitar method that encapsulates big principles of our playing and approach to Classical guitar.

    Why do we not hear more about Rey De La Torre, the great Cuban guitarist and teacher who learned directly from Miguel Llobet?
