Rodrigo En los Trigales - final Spain update
I apparently forgot to check the mic levels (it resets after every video) so there is some clipping at loud volumes. My apologies.
I believe this is an improvement. Though there are areas that have become problematic that weren't before, overall it is a little better. I still hope to make a 'finished' recording at some point.

These 2 pieces have been on my 'fantasy' list for years. I am glad that I used this challenge to really concentrate on them. I still need to live with them for a while to really get them, especially the De Falla.

Eric Phillips Hooray~!! I really enjoyed this 4 weeks community challenge. This is my first community challenge, my first guitar video, my first Gasper Sanz, and my first duet online, thank you everyone for creating such a great community in Tonebase.

Eric Phillips A very elegant conclusion to the Spain Challenge. Those are very nice, with your typical superb performance. Thanks for presenting these.
BTW I don't mind flubbing the first note - it's when botch the ending that really gets me.

Jack Stewart Thanks, Jack. I do hate messing up on the last note/chord, but it happens a lot. As I get toward the end of a piece, a little voice in my head keeps saying, "Don't mess up! Don't mess up!" And then, of course, I usually do. In fact, the end of this one was not too good, but I went with it.

Eric Phillips My recording of En Los Trigales previous to the one I posted was perhaps my best recording except that I concluded the final arpeggio very confidently with double forte on c# (instead of d).
I thought long and hard about making, yet, another recording but I couldn't possibly leave it on that. It was like a slapstick 'pie in the face' ending. So record again I did.

Jack Stewart Been there, done that, many times. As an outsider (i.e. not you) I can honestly say it would have been great to hear it even with the messed up ending. How does the saying go? It's not about the destination ...
