I started classical guitar when I was about 20. I had been playing rock guitar for several years and decided to change. I had no idea what classical guitar was so, after signing up for lessons I bought a record (I go way back) of John Williams playing Bach's Chaconne. I remember thinking "Wow, I am going to learn That?!" I am still thinking 'Wow, I am going to learn That!!'
30 years ago I attended graduate school in Music History at U of W. My guitar playing has ebbed and flowed over the years, but now that I have retired, I am determined to devote much more time to it.

@Eric Phillips I have been working on a transcription of 4'33" for guitar but it keeps coming in at 4'22". I can't tell if I am leaving something out or playing too quickly.

@don Thanks Don. I think the op. 31.20 is #9 in Segovia's Sor collection. It can certainly be challenging trying to maintain it thru out the piece (as my difficulties indicate).

@don Thanks Don. Interesting connection with the Nocturnal. I like the middle section's 'intrusion', but it really needs to be precise to work. I didn't really achieve that.
