@Eric Phillips Thanks for the information. I can see how the bowl shape could be difficult to get used to. I had an Ovation round-back years ago and it was a bit of a challenge.

I found a CD of Johann Kasper Mertz's shorter pieces which includes some real gems. I didn't know much about him aside from his Elegie and some parts of the Bardenklänge which are well above my grade…
