Re: WEEK 1: What we've learned!!!
@Nijwm Bwiswmuthiary Well, I will explain what I do, but I doubt it is the best or most efficient way. I am not a very technological person. (To give you a sense of my backwardness,…

@Nijwm Bwiswmuthiary Blaise is a master. He can guide you much better than I can. For what it is worth, my microphone is a Samson Go Mic. I bought it for $40 US dollars. Here is a picture.

@Blaise Laflamme Thanks, but your videos rival those of the best professionals making classical guitar videos today (starting, of course, with your outstanding playing and musicianship).

I add some reverb and do loudness normalization with Audacity, a free sound editing software I downloaded. I use an inexpensive USB mic with my laptop.

Re: WEEK 4: Fernando Sor for Everyone!!
@Jack Stewart I do. I am much more drawn to the less-often-played works in the repertoire. It probably comes from some psychological need to be special or different.

Re: WEEK 4: Fernando Sor for Everyone!!
@Jack Stewart Yes, Marcello's performance is ridiculously virtuosic, but yours was very good too, and far better than I have ever been able to play this.

@Jack Stewart Excellent, Jack! I do really like this study, too. Like Nijwm said, it's similar to the more famous Op 35 No 22, but not played nearly as often, which I like.

Two Menuets (Op 24 No 1 and 6) I think I’ll make this my last post for this challenge. I was able to bring the tempo of number 6 up a bit.

Re: WEEK 4: Fernando Sor for Everyone!!
@Jack Stewart Yes, Steve didn’t follow through on his offer. I wanted a Lacote for that tuning. It’s pretty disappointing, frankly.

@Blaise Laflamme This is so great, Blaise! There is something about your sound and phrasing on this one that just sounds very authentic to the period. I could listen to music like this all day long.
